HarborCOV staff provide public education and outreach to educate the community about domestic violence.
Domestic violence impacts all of us, and we all have a responsibility to participate in the community solution to end domestic violence. HarborCOV provides customized trainings to local organizations, businesses, and community groups who would like to learn more about domestic violence and how they can support survivors.
We will provide an overview of the causes and consequences of domestic violence, warning signs of abuse, and types of abuse. We will also explain how community members can support someone they think may be experiencing domestic violence, and how HarborCOV is available to help.
In addition to providing presentations, HarborCOV is available to host Circles, a restorative justice practice and model of community-building.
Trainings can be tailored to engage and respond to the unique questions and needs of the audience, and we are happy to speak with you about what you are hoping to learn.
