Bilingual (English/Spanish) Immigration Attorney
Coordinate and oversee the provision of immigration legal services at HarborCOV. Responsibilities include providing comprehensive consultations and representation to survivors of domestic violence on a range of immigration matters, including removal defense, VAWA self-petitions, U and T Visa petitions, and Special Immigrant Juvenile Status petitions; supervising HarborCOV’s DOJ Accredited Representatives; conducting community outreach and education; and developing strategic collaborations with community partners and stakeholders. Juris Doctor (JD) degree, current Massachusetts Bar License, and spoken and written English-Spanish proficiency required; prior experience in immigration law with above-average knowledge of immigration relief for survivors of domestic violence; experience working with immigrant communities and/or survivors of domestic violence and trauma.
Harbor Communities Overcoming Violence (HarborCOV) is an innovative nonprofit organization that offers culturally relevant emergency and longer-term resources, and affordable housing for survivors of domestic violence and their children, while educating the public about the causes and consequences of domestic violence.
